Space Odyssey presentations offer exceptional value for money, with the price per student typically working out at around £2 - £4 per head! All prices are INCLUSIVE of all travelling expenses within the South West of England and no VAT is charged - there are no hidden extras.
Bookings from schools etc. outside Simon's normal area are welcomed. A modest travel & accommodation supplement will be added for bookings from outside Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bristol/Bath/former Avon. Be assured that any supplement will be kept to a minimum and will still offer great value for money!
There are two scales of charges, each with a minimum fee of only £260, related to how many pupils will be coming into the dome at a time. Do remember to measure up the hall you have in mind to be certain which dome will fit (see dome pages for more details). The two scales of charges are:
(1) for the smaller Pioneer dome up to its maximum capacity (35 Primary-age children)
or...
for the larger Voyager dome with ONE class at a time (up to 35 Primary-age / 32 Secondary-age students per presentation)
Price: £260 for one or two presentations, then £75 for each additional presentation
(2) for the Voyager dome for more than 35 Primary-age / 32 Secondary-age students per presentation, up to its maximum capacity (70 KS1, 64 Yr 3/4, 60 Yr 5/6, 55 Yr 7, 52 Yr 8, 48 Yr 9, 42 KS4, 36 6th Form)
Price: £260 for one presentation, then £100 for each additional presentation
From these prices it will be seen that, for a given number of pupils, it becomes a little cheaper per head to "double-up" classes in the Voyager dome (so long as the Voyager dome will fit!)
Most schools and colleges, however, prefer to have a single class or tutor group per session as this can be easier in logistical terms and gives the students more room in the dome. Please refer to the "Further information for schools" page for further advice.
Naturally, if you wish to mix some "full dome" presentations and "one class" presentations in the Voyager dome during the course of a visit, the price will be adjusted accordingly.
